Phase 3-5 Phonics Game - Roll and Read
A mix of real and nonsense phase 3-5 phonics ‘Roll and Read’ game. Children to work individually or in pairs, to roll the dice and and to read the word that they have landed on. A range of reading questions for stories by Julia Donaldson. Resources include retrival style comprehension questions for 14 books as well as reading journals with activities such as prediction, story sequencing, sentence matching and character descriptions for The Gruffalo and Room on the Broom. Questions and activities I have gathered over the years and have been magpied from a range of resources, websites and practitioners. This is a document to support my own practise in the classroom - to support volunteer readers and indpendent guided reading tasks.
